TEAMWORK FOR YOUR
Benefit from collaborations with:
The SfSH has cooperated with the Lüneburg-based telenovela "Rote Rosen" since May 2017. The series airs Monday to Friday from 14:10 - 14:55 on ARD Germany and is one of the most successful afternoon formats. In the future, our students will play supporting roles in the TV production, and the "Rote Rosen" team will provide them with advice and support during the shootings. By the way, our graduate, Samantha Viana, is a member of the main Rote Rosen cast.
The cooperation with the ZHdK in Zurich took place for the second time from the end of November to the beginning of December. Third year students, Alina Hidic, Jannis Achermann and Yves Zahnd participated in this year's final productions of the BA in Theatre at the ZHdK. Based on the contemporary play "Das Gelübde" by Dominik Busch, three projects were developed in the constellations of acting, directing, dramaturgy and scenography. The directing teams had previously started their conceptual work and developed an approach that served as a working basis for the realisation. The rehearsals were led autonomously by the respective project teams and accompanied by tutors from various disciplines.
The SfSH has collaborated with the Schlosstheater Celle since December 2016. And quite successfully at that:
Simon Gilles and Annika Krüger celebrated their premiere at the Schlosstheater Celle in January 2018 in the stage production of Bov Bjerg's AUERHAUS.
"The collaboration between our school and the Schlosstheater in Celle gave us the opportunity to perform on stage during our training. Of course, we were thrown in at the deep end because this was the first time we were completely on our own and did not have teachers holding their protective hands above us. Yet it was a great experience and very important for us. We were challenged and encouraged. We had to empower ourselves and trust in ourselves. That was the most significant thing we drew from the time we spent there. To motivate oneself again and again, to believe in oneself and to pluck up one's courage every time, to try again if things didn't go immediately right. And we have to add that Maurizio Micksch was a fantastic director. He engaged us with his patience, humour and great imagination, and always made us feel good."
Julius von Schubert celebrated his theatre debut as a guest actor in Theodor Fontanes EFFI BRIEST at the Schlosstheater Celle.
A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM
In a production directed by Jasper Brandis, four of our second year students premiered in William Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM in Celle on 18 March 2017. Our students, Andre Grave as Demetrius, Sandra Malek as Helena, Eva Maropoulos as Hermia and Julius von Schubert as Lysander performed together until the end of May.
Directed by Montserrat Borreda, our first year students worked on a mass choreography at the end of the school year. The collaboration with the University of Music and Drama has existed for several years now, and we are pleased that our students frequently receive further acting jobs as a result of this contact.
In November 2017, Lucie Gieseler and Eva Maropoulos celebrated the premiere of the new youth play DIE NACHT, IN DER ALLES by Marisa Wendt at the Kammerspiele Rendsburg.
SfSH collaboration partners
Perform, perform and perform some more - not in a quiet little room, but on location at the event. The SCHULE FÜR SCHAUSPIEL HAMBURG enjoys creative partnerships with theatres and television. Thus you can already gain practical experience during your training.
Practice makes the actor, but performance makes the professional.
