KATHARINA JANN

Katharina Jann combines artistic passion with strategic thinking. After training as an advertising executive, she studied theater, film, and television studies with minors in education and sociology at the University of Cologne. While still a student, she gained extensive practical experience in professional theater, including as an assistant in the artistic office at the “Autoren Theatertage” at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg and in the marketing department of the Schauspiel Köln.

A formative period followed with a one-year Erasmus stay at the Sorbonne in Paris, where she supervised a guest performance by the Thalia Theater and deepened her international perspective on theater work.

In 2010, Katharina Jann took over production management of Christoph Schlingensief's last international production, “Via Intolleranza II.” The ensemble was cast in Burkina Faso for the project, rehearsals took place in Berlin, followed by an international tour through Brussels, Vienna, Hamburg, and Munich. In 2011, the production was invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen and subsequently revived in Amsterdam.

From 2011, she worked as an assistant to the management at the SfSH. After a season as a marketing assistant at the Hamburg Kammerspiele, she returned to the school in 2014 and took over the management as well as the press and marketing department. In addition to her business management duties, she is also responsible for teaching self-management in the management team and prepares aspiring actors for the demands of the professional world.

In 2025, Katharina Jann founded the women's network Kulturkompliz:innen, thus setting another example for networking, empowerment, and structural visibility of women in the cultural sector.

ULRICH MEYER-HORSCH

Ulrich Meyer-Horsch studied acting at the Schule für Schauspiel Hamburg as well as philosophy, theology and theatre pedagogy at the universities of Heidelberg, Hamburg, Kiel and London (King's College).

Since 1993 he has worked as an actor and director at German state theatres including Theater Kiel, Theater Lübeck, Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Maxim Gorki Theatre Berlin, Kampnagel Hamburg, Altonaer Theatre and many others. He has worked with Simon McBurney & Complicite, with Yoshi Oida and Augusto Boal. His productions received several theatre awards. Until 2015, he was associate artistic director of the Kreuzgangspiele Feuchtwangen.

Ulrich Meyer-Horsch is a guest lecturer at the Yeditepe University Istanbul, and was a lecturer at the ZHdK Zurich and the Taipei National University for the Arts, Taiwan for several years. He has also directed and taught in Russia, the US, the Middle East, South America, Japan, Indonesia and Singapore. He is a co-founder of Michael Chekhov Europe e.V. (MCE) and a trainer for the international Michael Chekhov Association in New York (MICHA).

JAN OBERNDORFF

JAN OBERNDORFF initially studied theatre history in Munich and then acting at the SCHULE FÜR SCHAUSPIEL HAMBURG. After several years working as a theater and TV actor he soon became a director.

He received the Critics' Prize of the Berliner Zeitung in Berlin for his directorial debut, Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". He staged further productions in Berlin, Vienna, Munich, Rostock and Hildesheim, among others.

He soon he discovered his passion for teaching. As an acting teacher he has taught at the Otto-Falckenberg-School in Munich, at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf, at the Vienna Conservatory, at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar, as well as at the ZHDK Zurich, in South Korea, Romania, Turkey, Uruguay and Italy. He has been a member of the SfSH leadership team since 2011.

FRANZISKA ZITZELSBERGER

Franziska Zitzelsberger studied art history with a minor in art education and theater studies at the LMU Munich. During this time, she completed internships in the marketing department of the Rosenheim Culture and Congress Center and at the Haus der Kunst in Munich. She then continued to work in the museum education team for the children and youth program before moving abroad to Budapest for two years.

She completed her Master's degree in Cultural and Media Management at the Hamburg University of Music and Drama. During and after her studies, she worked in the fields of communication, marketing and public relations. Here she managed campaigns and clients, both in a marketing & content agency and in various other freelance projects.

Since 2023, she is Education Coordinator, Cultural Manager and Assistant to the Head of School at the SfSH.

MARLENA HAMANN-ROMERO

MARLENA HAMANN-ROMERO studied cultural studies in Frankfurt an der Oder from 2010-2014. During this time she was involved in the organization of a German-Polish theater festival and completed an internship at a language school in Bogotá, Colombia

After completing her master's degree in Transcultural Studies at the University of Bremen, she worked as a project coordinator for trainees from Spain at the Grone-Bildungszentrum. She also worked as an educational consultant for the creative youth project "Hamburg Memory" at a history association and freelanced in political youth and adult education.

Since the summer of 2022, Marlena Hamann-Romero is responsible for course coordination in the area of workshops and continuing education. She is also the contact person for rental and coaching inquiries.

LARA ROSENTHAL

LARA ROSENTHALgraduated from high school in Hamburg in 2025. In 2025, Lara began her voluntary social year at the Hamburg School of Acting. She has been enthusiastic about acting since childhood and loves to be creative and slip into different roles. She feels particularly at home in musicals, as they allow her to combine acting, singing, and dancing. During her FSJ, she is looking forward to gaining many new experiences and deepening her passion for acting.
